Eduardo Chillida | On Paper

September 20th – December 22nd, 2019
Online on Artsy

As a well-known master of post-war sculpture, Chillida’s work on paper as a draftsman and printmaker still remains an underappreciated field of interest. This exhibition will bring together more than 20 rarely seen works by the Spanish master. The show will present Chillida as a radical inventor that used paper to reformulate collage, to explore the figurative expression of his work, to expand the possibilities of monumental etchings and the intimate scale of woodcuts, as well as to create unique tridimensional structures made of this fragile material, his Gravitations.
