Artists Bianca Boragi and Julia Rooney to lead talk on Minimal Means exhibition

Zeit Contemporary Art is pleased to announce a talk led by visual artists Bianca Boragi and Julia Rooney in the context of the exhibition Minimal Means: Concrete Inventions in the US, Brazil and Spain, curated by Joan Robledo-Palop. The talk will take place on Thursday, February 21st, 2019, from 6 to 7 pm at 111 E 70th St, New York, NY 10021. A reception will follow between 7:30 and 8:00 pm.

 

From the unique perspective of both art makers and educators, Bianca Boragi and Julia Rooney will discuss the conceptual and material processes at play in works by artists including Dan Flavin, Anni Albers, Sol LeWitt, Elena Asins, and Lygia Clark, amidst others. Boragi and Rooney's experience working at the Sol LeWitt Archive at the Yale University Art Gallery during their time as MFA students, will also highlight how artistic research and intergenerational exchange have informed their own artistic practices of painting, video and sculpture.
